Psychotherapist, LCSW, CAS
Does life seem out of balance? Are you wondering how to re-gain your emotional footing or perhaps feel that for the first time? Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, addiction, grief, or are recovering from a divorce, change is possible and you're in the right place.
While I use evidence-based treatments accumulated in 20 years of clinical practice, I bring a heart-centered and mindful approach to therapy. You will be seen as a person rather than a patient in my office.

Areas of Expertise
Trauma and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)
Emotional, Physical, and Sexual Abuse
I practice Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and received my EMDR Training and "Certificate of Completion" from the Maiberger Institute, an EMDRIA approved provider of EMDR Trainings.
I received my certification in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), another evidence-based trauma treatment from the Office of Veterans Affairs.
I also specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a skills training approach for managing difficult emotions; tolerating distress; reducing impulsivity; and communicating wisely. I have been teaching DBT since 2004.
I developed my expertise as an Addictions Counselor at CU's Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS). I earned my CAS, or Certified Addictions Counselor, Level III.
